System Redundancy
System Redundancy Plan may consist
of many different features, but before you can discuss putting
together a plan you must ask yourself one very important question.
How long can I afford to have my entire network down? If your
answer is the system can not be down, you will need a comprehensive
plan that may include a backup or duplicate server at another
location. If your answer is my system can be down for one to two
days, then maybe your current system is fine and you must ensure
that your backup procedures are being performed properly.
Since each organization
has a different configuration of equipment and their own specific
tolerance for downtime, PDS can perform a Disaster Recovery review
to determine your organization's needs.
We will visit your
site and discuss the important issues of downtime and what it means
to you, in productivity and actual costs. We will also survey the
physical characteristics of your network and equipment. Armed with
this information we can then present you with our recommendations.
