Database Replication

A failure of your computer network would mean functions such as quick customer service, billing, and order entry would come to a halt.

There have been numerous studies performed over the years to calculate the costs of interruptions to day-to-day operation. In all cases the costs are staggering, especially when including the soft costs of interrupted customer service.

Pascack Data Services can work with you to create a contingency plan to allow continuation of basic operations despite a system failure. We can accomplish this utilizing — Remote Database Replication!

What is Remote Database Replication?
Remote Database replication is the periodic transfer of the latest database information from your local server to a remote server.
How does Remote Database Replication Work?
A duplicate copy of your programs and database will be running on a server at Pascack’s office. On a periodic basis your database will automatically transfer all the changes that have been made over a secure connection, to the duplicate database at our office. In the event of a system failure a procedure will be implemented that points your users to the copy of the database at our office and allows your users to seamlessly continue running their daily operations.
Is Remote Database Replication right for me?
Just ask yourself one question: Can I afford to have my network down for a day or longer while my server is being repaired or reloaded? If your answer is NO , it might be a wise decision to look at Remote Database Replication more closely in addition to examining your existing Disaster Recovery Procedures.
